The Mississippi River Bridge is one of the most congested links in the transportation system of the Baton Rouge metropolitan area. The Ferry Feasibility Study (FFS) will examine the feasibility of ferry service between the east and west banks of the Mississippi River in Baton Rouge as an alternative mode of transportation. The FFS will survey community and stakeholder interest and concerns to determine overall project viability considering transportation, economic development, and land use benefits and costs.
